FOR ALL SIGNS: Mercury directs on December 15th at 2 degrees Sagittarius. Mars retrogrades on December 5th at 6 degrees Leo and directs on February 25th, 2025 at 17 degrees Cancer. Mars only retrogrades every two years, and this one will most impact the fixed signs (Aquarius, Taurus, Scorpio, and Leo) in the beginning and will impact cardinal signs (Cancer, Capricorn, Aries, and Libra) towards the end of the cycle. Remember that I am referring to people with strong placements in those signs, not necessarily your sun sign.

Aries (Spring Equinox-approx. April 21st): December starts with a new
moon in Sagittarius, conjunct the Mercury retrograde, telling us that whatever
you have to address during this time will be for the best in the long run.
Money through your career and occupation may also be problematic, so it would
be wise to stick to your budget. Your energy levels may be stronger than
average, but your creativity may increase, and you may get lucky breaks when
you need them. As the month continues, you may find your money through your
career gets better, and now you may find joy can be found through your social
circles, and those same circles may lead to surprise money. Seeing things
clearly may be challenging, and the end of December may be a good time to
re-evaluate where you are and where you’re going in 2025.
Taurus (Approx. April 21st to approx.
May 21st): When December begins, your temper may be shorter than normal, and you
may have a brief unlucky streak for the first few days, but both of these will
be short-lived challenges. Opportunities may exist when making more money
through your job, but only if you focus on deferred gratification. Challenges
may also be present when adapting to the new social outlook as we prepare to
enter 2025. As the month progresses, you may see that it is time to shift your
attention to professional and personal work. The last week of the month is a
good time to clean the house, the kitchen, or even the office. The same
challenges from earlier in the month continue, but now the emphasis falls on
how you can internally adapt to changes rather than seeing how you can guide
the changes.
Gemini (Approx. May 21st to Summer
Solstice):
When December 2024 begins, you may feel out of sorts on a massive level due to
the new moon in Sagittarius, conjunct Mercury retrograde opposing your Gemini
placements, and when you factor in the activity in Pisces, you find challenges
are seemingly everywhere. One of the best ways to navigate these challenges is
through channeling your energy into creative projects, if possible. As December
continues, it is worth noting the majority of the tension in the air will
dissipate, but the communication tension will remain through the end of the
month. Some nice aspects tell us the last two weeks of the month are good times
to spend time with friends socializing, and these friendships may lead to
unexpected sources of income early in 2025. If you’re considering approaching
the new year, you may want to consider attacking it on two fronts rather than
one, at least until Jupiter directs in your sign.
Cancer (Summer Solstice to approx. July 21st): Unlike other signs,
December 2024 may begin as a non-event and may even be a positive start to the
month, particularly if you listen to your intuition and align your life with
your spiritual beliefs. Slight financial tension in the workplace may be
pleasant, but this will change within the first week, so if you can keep your
cool, things will roll along nicely while others have their hands full. As the
month continues, the emphasis turns to cleaning, whether it is your internal
system or your external environment. The last two weeks of the month may bring
challenges to your career, and where you are going in life, so it would be wise
to start preparing professionally for 2025 earlier than January. Healing and
health may be two focal points after winter solstice, so it would be wise to
focus on that now that you are post-holidays.
Leo (Approx. July 21st to approx. August 21st): You’re in an interesting spot as December 2025 begins. The new moon in Sagittarius at the beginning of the month can lead to wrapping up a lot of headache issues, but only if you’re willing to put in the hours. The good news is that your energy levels are higher than normal, and you may get some unexpected good fortune if you stay focused on your goals. Tension may be present when it comes to interacting with society, and in the first few days of the month, this may be detached, but the second week of the month, you may find this point is driven home rather personally. As the month progresses, you may notice the time for wrapping things up is behind you, and the emphasis falls on your interaction with society and circles of friends. Tension may be found there, and if you’re irresponsible, this may cost you money, love, or both.
Virgo (Approx. August 21st to Autumnal Equinox): When December rolls in, you may feel like the sky is falling due to all the tension in the air, so during the new moon on the 1st, you may want to take some time to still your mind and breathe to remain calm. The new moon in Sagittarius on the 1st is blended with Mercury retrograde, your ruling planet, so you may experience challenges concerning communication, investments, travel, learning, and how well you handle dealing with the unforeseeable. As much of that tension dissipates, things dramatically quiet down later in the month. Once solstice arrives, you may find the only real challenges left have to do with personal communication, handling your emotions, and healing your spiritual wounds. The last two weeks of the month are a good time to focus on money, your career, occupation, health, and visualizing what you plan on manifesting in 2025.
Libra (Autumnal Equinox to approx. October 21st): The first few days of
December may bring fresh start energy into your life, particularly regarding
your spirituality, investments, and creativity, so it would be wise to
prioritize accordingly. Your energy levels may be stronger than normal, but you
may find that accomplishing your goals requires every drop of energy you have.
Even the Mercury retrograde may work out in your favor if you adapt when
appropriate. As December continues, a lot of this easy-flowing environment will
slowly be replaced with challenges that have to do with your overall direction
in life and career. The Mars retrograde in Leo towards the end of the month may
lead to some internal growth regarding your ego, but only if you can embrace
your emotional side and face your inner conflict.
Scorpio (Approx. October 21st to approx.
November 21st): Much like Cancers, the new moon on December 1st may be more
of a non-event than an event, but that is where the parallels between the signs
stop. The first two weeks of the month is a good time to receive money through
your job, but your temper may be short, and you may get unlucky breaks rather
than lucky ones. As the month continues, it gets more complex. The emphasis
continues to be on your career and job, but now there are challenges in your
social circles, which could lead to a loss of friends or money through
friendships you have, so it would be wise to block out the external to focus on
where you’re going in life from the solstice through the first of the year. The
Mars retrograde in Leo may be problematic, too, as challenges and opportunities
are brought up internally to correct your inner aggressive side. Part of this
may have to do with dealing with your inner masculine side, but part may also
be how you handle your temper and blow off steam.
Sagittarius (Approx. November 21st to
Winter Solstice): Happy birthday Sagittarians! This is YOUR month, and wow, it starts off
with a bang. The new moon on the 1st conjunct Mercury retrograde is
all about wrapping up outstanding projects to clear the path for the rest of
the month and the next calendar year. Extra energy is available, and you may
get the lucky breaks you need to achieve further healing. Once the second week
of December arrives, you may find good things come to you through your social
circles, so spending time with friends would be wise to do. As the month
continues, challenges may arise regarding your daily work routine and health,
so be careful with what you consume the last two weeks. The Mars retrograde in
Leo is a good time to do an internal checkup before 2025 arrives to address any
parts of yourself that may be currently out of sorts.
Capricorn (Winter Solstice to approx. January 21st): Funny enough, December
2024 may start with money coming to you from your career and your occupation,
and your romantic life may be good, but other than that, December may begin
with a lot of peace and quiet, unlike other signs. Money moves you make the
first week of the month may be the last ones to make for the year, so it would
be wise to seize the opportunities present, lest they don’t come back. As the
month continues, more emphasis may be placed on your workplace and career, but
you may also sense something on the horizon. That won’t arrive for several
months yet when Neptune enters Aries, but you can prepare for it now by making
sure you see your life and situation clearly and are willing to make the
necessary changes so that 2025 isn’t an extension of 2024 but rather its own
year.
Aquarius (Approx. January 21st to
approx. February 21st): The new moon in Sagittarius on the 1st,
conjunct the Mercury retrograde, is interacting well and smoothly with your
solar energy in general, so you may find the things you have to deal with
because of the retrograde resolve for the best and may produce immediate,
positive results. The second week of the month may be a beneficial start to the
newly birthed Pluto in Aquarius as Venus conjuncts Pluto, so it would be wise
to do what you need to do for the first week, knowing that good things will
come your way the second week. Your temper may be short the first half of the
month, and your creativity may be blocked as well, so it would be wise to step
back before reacting to challenging situations. As the month continues, the
Mars retrograde may stir up toxic ego issues through tension concerning others.
However, your communication skills may be sharper than normal, and honesty may
be your best way to deal with things.
Pisces (Approx. February 21st
to Spring Equinox): Like Virgos, you may find the new moon on the 1st of
December is full of challenges and problems, especially those having to do with
communication, travel, investments, and publishing, so it would be wise to
breathe deep before responding to external issues. All of these issues, coupled
with the ongoing spiritual and emotional challenges and prosperity issues, may
make it feel very severe, but the more you adapt, the more you can handle all
of these things for the short time necessary. As the month progresses, the
pressure in the air increases, as the challenges mentioned earlier now expand
to include workplace tension and potentially health-related tension, so it
would be wise to adapt as you need to. Remember that these will be short-term
transformations rather than deep, soul-searching ones. For the entire month,
remember that adaptability is the way to evolve, but even adaptability has
limits and a price.
